As mentioned in church, Covid rates have risen to the point where the St Lawrence County levels have recently been listed as HIGH for at least one week.  As you may know we had created a policy last winter to mandate masks inside the church when the levels are high.  The Administrative Board met after church on October 23, 2022 to review the new report and clarify what we want to do.

We will be monitoring these levels weekly at this point.  The report appears to come out on Fridays so please look for an email each week on Friday or Saturday for the current guidance for that Sunday’s service. Information will also be posted on the website.

During the weeks where the county covid level is HIGH please observe the following guidance in general:

  • Masks will be required to be worn during church services.  There are extra masks in the back of the sanctuary if you do not have one.  Masks are always recommended but optional during MEDIUM or LOW risk levels.
  • If you are involved in a meeting during the week please be masked.
  • If you are alone in the church it is fine to not wear a mask, however, if another person arrives who is not in your household please put one on so keep one with you.
  • Tammy Rubas will contact Sunday School parents regarding any changes with that.

In general at ANY time:

  • If you are ill at any time please do not come to church.
  • If you have covid symptoms please test.  We do have some test kits in the back of the church and the Town Clerk in Madrid also has some if you need them.
  • If you test positive per Public Health you must isolate for 5 days and wear a high quality mask for another 5 days.
  • Please share this information and be sure you are receiving emails.

Reminder- St Lawrence County Covid levels will be checked weekly and the congregation notified of any changes on Friday or Saturday beginning this week.  Please check your emails weekly for this reason.

Please let us know if you have any questions by emailing President Kerrie Cooper at [email protected] or calling at (315) 323-3044.

Thank you for helping to keep our church family safe and healthy!
